Mission Statement:
I strive to create a seamless blend of dance, music, and theatricality; an organic sense of performance as an all-encompassing entity. I’m interested in exploring movement from a variety of perspectives from sarcastic humor to abstract theory. It is extremely important to me to work with dancers of different physicalities and performance qualities as it greatly adds to the dynamic of the movement and intrigue of the work. Using stop motion technology and pixilation fused with real time footage, I am able to create screendance choreography that is not always physically possible; to manipulate props/scenery/costumes to uncover motion where it couldn't naturally exist. The atmosphere reacts to the human movement and shows a glimpse of magic in our ordinary objects and lives.
